BRP Systems is a product development company with headquarters in Linköping where the company was founded. We have around 100 employees, of whom 55 are based in Linköping. Our solutions are available in more than 2,400 facilities within the gym- and fitness industry in ten countries and our products are reaching 3,5 million end users! 

If you ever have booked yourself to a spinning or PT class or checked in at your gym in the front desk you have probably used our products as an end consumer. When you extended your gym card subscription or made a payment, the receptionist was then also working within our systems. BRP develops and offers software solutions to customers within the fitness industry and we are the leading supplier in the Nordics. We are working hard to expand further in the Nordics and in Europe.

As our R&D department continues to expand, we are currently seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join our team. The position will be based in Linköping, where our R&D department is located.

About the position

We work in smaller agile teams where collaboration and teamwork plays an important role. We offer an international work context with colleagues in Sri Lanka, Denmark, Norway and Ukraine as well as customer presence in several European countries. 

As Frontend developer at BRP you are responsible for the user experience of our app and web together with your team.  The app and web applications are built in React and React native, where the app is available for iOS and Android platforms. Development of the products includes writing business logic and integrating with backend APIs.

Our app is used by over half a million end users so your work will have an impact on a large user base. Together with the team you are committed to ensure a smooth user journey and to make it easier for the fitness and leisure industry to run their businesses.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Develop high-quality software in adherence to best practices
• Test, review, and maintain software to ensure the code's quality and stability 
• Participate in the full lifecycle of our products

Requirements

We seek a Frontend developer with previous work experience and a background in an agile team environment. We want you to have:

• Relevant academic education (Degree in Computer Science or related field)
• A couple of years of experience from working with Frontend development
• Understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular or similar).
• Experience of integrating with APIs 
• Fluent in spoken and written English

It’s a bonus if you 

• Have experience or an interest in leadership roles such as Scrum master or Team leader
• Have experience in designing and maintaining consumer facing web and mobile applications 
• Have experience in working with products which involves payment processing- and booking services
